The DF is a non-profit charitable organization that was established in 1964. Its mission is to provide research funding the develops and retains tomorrows' teachers and scientists and enables the advancement of patient care. The Foundation provided $3 million in funding in 2010 to support 65 individual dermatologic research projects that are to be conducted at U.S. institutions. Since it was established, it has invested nearly $60 million in the advancement of dermatology.
