NPO.net is a great place to make multiple impressions on thousands of nonprofit professionals and key stakeholders monthly. While the majority of the traffic is created by job seekers, users of NPO.net include potential funders, board members, volunteers and companies seeking to provide services to the nonprofit community. NPO.net job seekers tend to visit NPO.net multiple times each week to check out new jobs. Some key points to consider:
- There are currently nearly 2000 Employer Accounts – virtually all of them a nonprofit in the Chicago area posting nearly 10,000 job opportunities in the last 2 years.
- Each month NPO.net receives over 200,000 unique sessions with high click-through on banner ads.
- NPO.net has expanded to cover all of Illinois and will be entering new markets shortly. You can target individual markets or expand into new areas if you desire.
- Lumity can connect your advertising to our “blast emails” that reach nearly 3000 area nonprofit professionals. As an email sponsor, you banner ad, up to two paragraphs of text, and a link to your URL will be viewed by hundreds of professionals. Lumity email blasts enjoy a 20% open rate and nearly a 2% click-through on the sponsor link (on average).

Ad Rotation and Duration
Footer and Header ads are provided on a “random rotating basis” and sold on a month to month basis. Lumity believes ad rotation improves the number of impressions and click through for advertisers while keeping the advertising fresh. Additionally, the ad changes help draw attention to the ads.
Please keep in mind that NPO.net is somewhat unique in that each user engages in multiple sessions on a weekly or monthly basis as they seek employment. Each session will include multiple page views each having a randomly presented header and footer ad.
Ad Specification
Lumity accepts banner ad art in either “.jpg” or “.gif” format. Lumity accepts morphing “.gif” ads. Recommended ad sizes are as follows, however exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.
- Top Banner: 60 x 234 pixels (height by width)
- Bottom Banner: 60 x 486 pixels (height by width)
Optionally a side banner ad can be added of recommended size:
- Side Box: 90 x 120 pixels (height by width)
