Description
Aunt Martha’s is seeking qualified, enthusiastic individuals to staff the overnight shift forseveral of our Child Welfare Services Service programs.
Openings for our Residential Group Homes, Shelters and Transitional Living Programs (TLP) Our Residential Group Homes serve youth ages 12-18 that have been abused or neglected and referred to the program by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Our Residential Shelters house wards of DCFS at different points in their progression through the State’s child welfare system. Our Transitional Living Programs provide stable, safe living accommodations, and services that help their residents develop the skills necessary to become independent. Our facilities serve pregnant and parenting young woman, as well as male wards.
Family Educator - Provide the direct day-to-day care and monitoring to the youth in the facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: following all safety protocol including working with an alarm system, conducting frequent bed checks, documentation, and following agency standard call in protocol.
Independent Living Specialist- The Independent Living Specialist is responsible for monitoring the youth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: following all safety protocol including working with an alarm system, conducting frequent bed checks, documentation, and following agency standard call in protocol.
**We are currently recruiting for the OVERNIGHT SHIFTS**
The hours are normally (11pm-7am or 12am-8am)
Openings at the following locations: South Suburbs, Joliet, Monee
Requirements
Family Educator Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required and previous experience working with at risk youth strongly preferred. Must have a current driver’s license, current auto insurance and good driving record. DCFS Foundation Training is a plus. Previous expereince working overnight shifts is strongly preferred.
Independent Living Specialist Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree is Social Work or related field required. Previous experience working with at risk youth and overnight shifts strongly preferred.
