Essential Functions include:
Directs, leads, instructs, oversees and manages assigned nursing staff and uncertified employees in assigned unit.
Establishes and oversees implementation of care plans according to relevant license.
Responsible for documents involving Minimum Data Sets and Psychotropic Drug reviews
Responsible for resident assessments and working with physicians treating residents
Oversees correct processing of orders, correctness of MARs, treatment sheets and monthly documentation
Performs evaluation of staff and reports to Nursing Administrator for review and discipline purposes.
Admits, transfers and discharges residents as needed.
Participates in Survey Inspections
Supervises and assigns duties to nursing staff on a timely basis.
Mandatory Job Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current RN license in state of Illinois. Current CPR registration. Knowledge of Illinois Administrative Code.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ to 5 yrs long-term care experience in leading a team in the overall performance of comprehensive nursing care and adherence to care plans.
Desired Qualifications
Supervisory experience preferred
