Description
Responsible for implementing and coordinating community Smoking Cessation Program. Provide smoking cessation counseling and education to individuals and groups. Conduct smoking cessation sessions and presentations in clinical and community settings. Link participants to social support services. Establish and maintain referral and intervention tracking systems, complete smoking cessation training "Courage to Quit" and participate in community outreach activities.
Full-time eighteen month grant funded position-Flexible Schedule (evening and week-ends)
Mandatory Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work, health education or related field
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
- Comfortable counducting presentations to groups of 25 or more
- Proficient with basic word processing and database computer programs
- Demonstrates an independent work initiative, sound judgment and attention to detail
