Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the nation's leading contemporary dance company, seeks a dynamic, results oriented External Affairs professional to lead, along with our Executive Director and Artistic Director, the revenue generating efforts of our organization. This exciting opportunity, which we have recently reopened, will identify the person who will represent Hubbard Street to the Chicago funding community and be responsible for growing both earned and contributed income for the company. The ideal candidate will have significant experience and success in creating and implementing an annual plan that will combine the development program and marketing campaigns, with a strong focus on major gifts. This position is the key contact with board members, major funders and prospects, and will oversee and work directly in the major gift solicitation and stewardship process.
Previous experience in annual fund, campaign fund raising plans, membership campaigns, and subscription and single ticket sales will be important, as you guide the marketing and development efforts for all Hubbard Street programs. The ability to manage effectively will be essential as you lead a nine person team.
This important opportunity will have you work with senior management to create communication strategies and events that advance the company profile. You will oversee printed materials, grants, solicitation calendar, marketing budgets, identify and cultivate board candidates and many other important functions.

Mandatory Job Qualifications
