The Major Gifts Officer will have an active commitment to Christ, the local church and the global mission of the church. This position will establish and fulfill effective strategies to grow and maintain the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors. This full-time position reports to the Executive Director.

Duties:

• Lead in the identification and discovery of new major donors
• Participate in setting annual gift income goals from major donors
• Manage a portfolio of relationships with current and prospective individual donors, churches and foundations
• Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle:
• Initiate contacts
• Develop appropriate cultivation strategies
• Make solicitations
• Travel extensively including evenings and weekends
• Assist with strategizing and implementing effective donor communication
• Work collaboratively with support staff and volunteers, including Board members
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
 

Mandatory Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years of experience in fundraising
• Capacity to develop relationships based upon the donor’s interests
• Experience in making donor and perspective donor visits
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A record of achieving goals and completing assignments
• Able to travel domestically (30-50% of the time) and internationally (1-2 trips/year)
 

Russian Leadership Ministries

The mission of Russian Leadership Ministries is to prepare leaders to impact Russia with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To accomplish this mission, RLM serves as the primary support network of the Moscow Theological Seminary. The seminary, which began in 1993, has 720 students in eight Learning Centers in strategic locations across Russia. The Russian Baptist Union, which owns and operates the seminary, recognizes it as its center for theological education in Russia. An interdenominational Board of Directors guides the mission and program of RLM.
