This position works closely with the Director of Philanthropy to provide support for TASC’s fundraising activities including, but not limited to, grant proposals, donor research, events, social media and mailings. The Philanthropy Assistant will adhere to TASC’s programmatic and operational objectives as well as the highest standard of ethical philanthropic practices.

  • Maintains and organizes fundraising databases and files.
  • Provides support for planning and execution of all fundraising events.
  •  Provides support for development of grant proposals, ensuring that all application and reporting deadlines are met.
  • Assists in creation of monthly, quarterly and annual Philanthropy reports.
  •  Provides meeting support, including, but not limited to, creating graphics, charts and/or presentation materials, preparation of pre-meeting documents, organization of meeting materials and refreshments/meals, recording and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Coordinates communication flow through Philanthropy office.
  •  Conducts donor prospect research.
  • Drafts, edits and/or proofreads Philanthropy Department written materials.
  • Manage administrative tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
  • Procures appropriate office supplies, equipment, etc.
     

Mandatory Job Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year experience in an administrative capacity, or Associate’s Degree (or equivalent from two-year college or technical school) and at least three years of administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  Excellent grammar and writing skills  Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of graphic design software highly desirable 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an extremely fast paced environment  Interest and experience in a variety of social media platforms
  • Fundraising experience preferred
  •  Experience with Results Plus software a plus
