The Director of Development has primary responsibility for the fundraising and marketing programs of this $3.3 million metropolitan AIDS services organization. The Director serves on the senior management team and directs a staff of two in planning and implementing development strategies to raise both public and private funds. The Director manages individual giving and is responsible for major donor solicitation, oversees special events and the activities of the Junior Networking Committee, grantmaking and the volunteer program.

Successful candidates for the position will have experience in private and public grantmaking, major donor solicitation, event management, individual giving, volunteer management, communications and marketing, including managing the organization’s web site and overseeing all social networking and viral marketing initiatives. The Director works with the Resource Development Committee, Marketing Committee and various event committees to advance the fundraising and marketing programs.

Qualifications: Proven track record in private and public fundraising. Must have at least a B.A. in related field and 5-7 years experience in development, including staff supervision and program management. Experience must include one on one solicitation.
