Pursues, writes, administers and manages research grants and contracts in the Department of Health Services Research. Identifies new sources of funding and establishes and sustains relationships with funders. Coordinates and writes research grants and contract proposals to federal agencies, corporations, associations and private foundations. Identifies funding opportunities from various sources and makes funding recommendations. Generates ideas for externally funded research, defines research hypotheses and develops research methodology. Manages funded research project activities. Develops and monitors compliance with established research policies, procedures and regulations.
Mandatory Job Qualifications
Extremely strong writing skills. Masters degree in a health care related field. Five or more years experience in health services research or working in the health care environment. Knowledgeable about social science research methods. Experience in managing complex projects under short timelines and the ability to assimilate substantial content knowledge in a short time.
Desired Qualifications
Research proposal writing experience is highly desirable. Experience with federal grant writing a plus.
