On-Call Direct Care Staff

The Douglas Center in Skokie is looking for Direct Support Staff to assist adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their vocational goals. Our day program supports individuals with disabilities in a range of vocational skills from production work, sewing, clerical duties, janitorial, and so much more. 
No experience needed. We provide all the necessary training in order for you to succeed in this position.  
 
We are currently hiring for Part Time and On-Call Support Staff.  
 
Schedule/Work Hours: 
Monday Through Friday 9am-2:30pm 
No weekends  
Flexible schedules for On-Call employees based around your availability and the needs of the organization. 
 
Salary: 
Starts at $8.00 per hour 
 
Job Duties: 
Teach and train adults with developmental disabilities in various vocational skills such as counting, packaging, assembling, and distributing. Help individuals in production of work through various tasks and duties. Monitor performance and make reccomendations and accomodations as needed. Maintain quality assurance with all production work that inviduals produce. Assist in distributing work appropriately based on clients strengths and develop on areas of improvement. Document progress and daily goals of life skills and vocational skills for each individual. Data entry of production notes into database for all clients performance. Assist in various warehouse duties as necessary.
