Loyola University Chicago invites applications for the position of Director, Ann Ida Gannon Center for Women and Leadership. One of eight Centers of Excellence, the Center unit is housed at the University’s Lake Shore campus and is dedicated to educating and fostering women leaders to transform their environment for the common good. All Centers of Excellence report to the Associate Provost for Research Services and Centers. The Centers, a core component of the strategic plan, focus on promoting scholarly productivity, community engagement, and student learning.
Founded in 1993, the Gannon Center directs leading edge programming in the areas of gender, feminism, and leadership for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students within the University. In addition to general administrative duties in running the Center, the director will oversee research priorities (in concert with the endowed chair), developing and executing educational programming, fundraising, alumni relations (in collaboration with the Advancement Division), external relations, and service.
