This position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources Department. 

Some of the functions are as follows:

1. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.

2. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

3. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, interns, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; writes and places advertisements.

4. Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.

5. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

6. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

7. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.

8. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

9. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Mandatory Job Qualifications

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience, OR
2. A master' degree in Human Resources Management and two (2) years of experience in the HR field.
3. Any similar combination of education and experience.
4. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff at all levels throughout the agency.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, wriiten and oral. 
6. Ability to work with a diverse population.

1. Organize, plan, and prioritize work - develop specifics goals to accomplish tasks or work.
2. Reslove conflicts and negotiating with others - handles compliants, settles disputes, and resloves conflicts.

4. Analytical Skills - ability to gather raw data and to process that data into a menaingful form.
5. Responisble - answerable for your conduct.
