Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Product Program, the Product Program Manager is responsible for marketing, organizing, managing, and implementing the product programs campaign to achieve the council’s budgeted objectives. Provide a quality program experience for girls and services to volunteers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Coordinate marketing, promotion and public relations with other departments to maximize awareness of campaigns (Fall Product and the Girl Scout Cookie Program). reate and coordinate council-wide activities with the program department and the regional program coordinators to promote and develop Girl Scout product programs. Develop timelines, selling strategies and enrichment programs.
· Recruit, train and provide direction to product sale volunteers.
· Coordinate with other departments, as appropriate, to provide quality trainings, which enable girls and volunteers to successfully carry out product sale programs.
· Manage daily operations and administration of product sale campaigns.
· Support volunteer organization members through meeting attendance, product promotion and customer service in partnership with region staff.
· Serve as liaison to vendors and suppliers to negotiate and assure adequate product supply, timely delivery schedules and related matters.
· Prepare and manage assigned budgets.
· Compile and maintain necessary information and statistics; and prepare required reports and analysis.
· Ensure that the product sale programs, procedures and staffing are sensitive to and reflect the diverse populations within the council’s jurisdiction.
· Train, supervise and evaluate product sales staff. Prepare product program presentations and training.
· Ensure the funding of the council through solicitation of gifts, donor cultivation, presentations to groups, grant development and, working in partnership with fund development volunteers.
· Actively participate in group and project teams as assigned.
· Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Mandatory Job Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management or related field OR equivalent experience..
· Minimum 5 years experience in project management and the training and supervision of volunteers and/or other staff. Experience in strategic and tactical planning, budget preparation and inventory management. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data and compile information for planning and reports.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
· Ability to be bonded.
· Access to reliable daily transportation. Possess a valid driver’s license which meets the council’s insurance company’s requirements for coverage
· Ability to lift and move at least 25 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
· Ability to develop and deliver training for adults. Knowledge of adult education principles.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage large projects and prioritize multiple activities..
· Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
· Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Access). Experience with computer graphics a plus.
