Doula – Bilingual (English/Spanish)

The Doula is a lay health worker who will work with pregnant and parenting women and their babies. The Doula will promote healthy pregnancies, breastfeeding, and parent-infant attachment. While establishing a trusting relationship with clients, the Doula will provide prenatal, labor and postpartum education and support. The Doula will focus especially on birthing support and education.

Mandatory Job Qualifications	Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of a certified Doula Training program and training as a breastfeeding counselor; Must be self-motivated with good written and communication skills; Experience in developing trusting relationships with clients and working with team members; Must have at least 2-3 years experience as a childbirth educator and/or doula; Required ability to satisfy both inner-city travel and on-call requirements; Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
